About LandyWatch

LandyWatch is a growing network of Land Rover owners whose aim is to assist in the recovery of stolen Land Rovers and suggest ways to make our vehicles a less attractive target to thieves.

Working with the Police and security product manufacturers, it's much like the neighbourhood watch idea but for Land Rovers.

An organisation like this relies on it's members "eyes and ears" and becomes more effective as it grows. With this in mind, it would be great if you could take the time to check out Landy Watch and hopefully join. It's free to register and only takes a few mins.

LandyWatch is neither connected to nor affiliated in any way to Land Rover

Latest stolen vehicles & suspicious activity

My Defender had the quarterlight smashed overnight in one of the 2nd row passenger doors.  Thief had attempted to prise the runner channel out with a screwdriver or other such implement and shattered the glass.  Alarm had sounded which I think put them off as no further attempt to enter the vehicle was made, for which I am most grateful.

I am assuming theft of, rather than theft from as there is very little in the vehicle to steal, and the smallest window was attempted which

SkyTag security roof markings

We have teamed up with SkyTag to offer special LandyWatch roof markings for your Land Rover.

Quote
Helicopter observation, Police Officers at high vantage points and the thousands of overhead cameras on motorways, in towns and at ferry terminals means that Skytag really is the ultimate way of protecting your property.

The roof markings cost 29.95 including postage and packing to a UK address and LandyWatch will receive a 5 donation for each SkyTag ordered quoting LandyWatch..

A selection of Frequently Asked Questions taken from the SkyTag website
Quote
How long do Skytag markings last?
Skytags are manufactured from top quality vinyl, with a life of seven years plus.

How easy is it to remove Skytag markings?
Skytags are formulated to take up to 5 times longer to remove than standard graphics supplied by vehicle sign companies, giving the necessary authorities the time to locate and catch the thief. Even when the markings are removed, the special adhesive we use leaves traces that take even more time to completely clean off.

Can Skytag markings be painted over?
Skytag markings are resistant to most paints.

Is it worth marking my vehicles?
Vehicle crime is an everyday occurrence, but with the ever-increasing use of camera surveillance, the chances of catching a thief in possession of a stolen vehicle are continually improving. Skytag adds yet another useful tool for the authorities.

Can Skytag reduce my insurance premiums?
If your insurance company is unwilling to give you a discount when you tell them you have registered with Skytag, please contact us. We may be able to assist.

Why are Skytags cheaper than standard markings?
Skytag concentrates solely on roof markings, and due to volume of sales can pass the savings on to you.

Can you supply Skytags outside of the UK?
Yes. Please contact us for for confirmation of the delivery cost to your location.

To order your SkyTags, visit www.skytag.co.uk, click register and then select the on-line option.

Fill in the form as normal but in the 'Details Required on SkyTag' box, put the letters 'LW'.

In the 'How did you find us' box, put 'LandyWatch'.  SkyTag will then supply you with the next sequentially numbered markings with the 'LW' prefix.

Once you click Register, you will be taken to the next page where you can pay for your SkyTag either online or by phone.
