Disco 2 headlights !!

Hi again.

I’m sorry if this sort of thing isn’t covered by the forum or is in the wrong area of it.

This post is more of a warning to others to be aware of the possibility rather than helping to recover a stolen vehicle.

Sometime during the night (Saturday 23rd / Sunday 24th June) a friend of mine's Discovery 2 had its headlights stolen from near Alfreton, Derbyshire. It was parked on a main road outside a neighbour’s house.

It’s a Black 2004 Pursuit model which comes with factory fit black plastic light guards which were ripped off and smashed during the theft. The light themselves were rendered useless as the mounting brackets were broken off during removal. The rest of the vehicle is undamaged apart from scratches and dents around the headlights.

The police have been informed, handed out the usual incident number and said there’s little that they can do.

To make matters worse the owner has only had the vehicle for just over 2 weeks.

Hi Sorry to hear that a member of the d2 club i'm in had his taken last year i think it was
The upgraded lights on the 2004 are sought after the amount that show up on ebay and the likes.
