110 & 90 Stolen from same address on 8/9th Jan 2012

Woke up Monday (9th Jan 2012) morning to find both our Land Rovers missing.

Someone took them in the night, between 11.30pm (8th) and 7.30am (9th). They broke the lock off the gate stole both trucks and then kindly closed the gate behind them.

Both truck had been taken from our drive near Clowne, Derbyshire and then onto Newington near Bawtry where they removed all personal items from both trucks (which included removing 110's roof rack) and burnt them all together. Police later that day informed us that their ANPR camera spotted one of them in Humberside but didn't say which one it was.

Would you please keep a look out for _

Seats - Techno cloth (checker  plate pattern)
This has an air vent on the roof which is round, black and rotates, the back step is missing, thewheel cover says GORDON LAMB, CHESTERFIELD. It has checker plate on the wings and sills, full length checker plate side steps on both sides, rear bench seats and a stainless steel bull bar with Hella spots on (not actually wired up yet, so not working).

Seats - Front Vinyl -  Rear folding royal blue patterned with royal blue vinyl backs and yellow piping.
This has a set of folding seats put in the back by my husband which are royal blue with coloured shapes in the material and the backs are made of blue vinyl with yellow piping. It doesn't have any side steps but has an ajustable towbar with built in step. It has checker plate sill panels and also at the rear of wheels but NO checker plate wing tops.The wheel cover says GUY SALMON COVENTRY and it has orange flashing strobe recovery lights on the front grill.

Derbyshire Police (0845 123 33 33) are looking into the theft and the incident number is 73

We are gutted and totally devestated, its just like someone has taken two members of our family. My husband does trialing and on the sunday he had been to Whittington to watch Peak & Dukeries with our son and a friend. Ploice think that the thieves followed him back to see where we kept the 90 and came back in the eveniing/early hours and took them both.

I notice you've also posted on Landyzone forum but I have also taken the liberty of posting it on the Defender2 forum, which is aimed mostly at PUMA & Td5 defender owners.

Can I just ask what security you had in place on the trucks??.     It just helps us see what's not working !

I'm guessing

Td5 - factory alarm and immobiliser
Puma - factory alarm and immobiliser + the battery cut off switch

The security was exactly what you thought. [part of post removed by mods]  We still can't believe we never heard a thing as the 90 was under our bedroom window. They had to be professionals and i'm sure they followed my husband back from trialing on Sunday afternoon and waited till we had gone to bed. It made it easy for them that we live away from the village with only 3 other houses around us.

Hi my friend Paula had posted about these on facebook so I posted on landyzone and northern monkey offroad to help out had just signed up to this site to do the same but u have already done it,lol hope u get them back,a few month ago the old woman across the road from me saw about 5 lads in a white pick up looking at my discovery at about 4am but they never came back thank god good luck

UPDATE -

Police have now told us that it was the 90 Puma commercial (blue with white roof) reg YS57 XYM that was spotted by one of their ANPR cameras in Humberside.

If possible and in your area please keep a look out for it. Thanks x

Update -

Don't know if its connected but our next door neighbours were paid a 'visit' last night (exactly 1 week since our 110 & 90 were stolen) and at approx 01.15 they took 4 containers of parafin!! Approx £100 worth.
