Stolen Defender 90 in Sheffield

Yep, another one gone  taken from my drive late last night/first thing this morning in north Sheffield. Standard red 90, R347 VUX, first landy i have ever owned and only had it since mid-August too. Although relatively old it was in great condition, just put a new load liner in the back, cubby box and replaced the duff old cassette player with an ipod stereo too. Gutted.

thanks, not holding my breath, if its not in peices already i think it might soon be..... just hope insurance company don't now give me the run around on its value

Hello bigtuboflard, sorry to hear of another Land Rover theft, I do not live anywhere near you but I have a daughter in Stannington, her husband travels all around Sheffield and surrounding area and he has details of your LR on his dash and will contact police if he sees it. regards Colin

Colin, really helpful, thanks a lot. Its a pretty standard 90 County as you can see, the wheels are fairly distinctive though, black steel wheels but with a thin red and blue pinstripe on the rim. Will try and remember what tyres i had on and post that on too. Thanks again.

Re my earlier post, any more details you can remember will help to identify vehicle even if number plate is changed, other pictures as well regards Colin

They were Cooper Discoverer ST's on there, just had to get my brain in gear to remember....

Had fold down steps on the driver and passenger door, adjustable tow bar with step on the back, the rear cross member has been recently painted (before i bought it mind) so is pretty good in appearance for its age. Also, checker plate on the wheel arches on the front, new door seal (fitted by me) on the passenger side, and drivers door was a bit loose shutting it, often required a few slams (not that i expect a car thief to let you try the doors out!). Brand new load liner in the back too, the sort that goes up and over the wheel arches, and a second hand cubby box in the middle. Also, the stereo is brand new, removable front plate Alpine, with Ipod lead on the drivers side in the dash. Other than that, all pretty standard unfortunately, it was is great condition for its age too

Hopefully the insurance will pay you what your LR is really worth, my advice is do not accept the first offer and hold out for as much as possible, good luck Colin
