SIIa with  all the mod cons of a Defender?????.... or... pehaps just a number of 90's ?

That number plate on the front is a bit of paper stuck over the real plate.... you can see it coming off.

Dozy twonk can't even add up ......    1957 + 43 years old truck = 2010 !

Oh... and I've got a large fuss box too.... it's called the wife... :P

Will report to the police email address.    If it's kosher, then seller got no worries  ::)

Mints.... should this really be in the suspicious vehicle sales forum? ...... not really sure ???

Edit : Have also reported to Ebay

right so i have now modified this post, as it was a bit garbled. what i was trying to say is that with
earlier landrovers you can buy a rust bucket one but as long as you keep the chassis then stick a modern body on it with modern running gear and engines you can still call it a 1957 landrover
as thats what the plates and id tags are tied too. as to where you get the modern body from i leave that up to you, it was a common thing with landrovers at one point / which why adim has pointed out mark all your bits on your landie  cause some times they don,t get broken for parts
they end up on earlier chassis and plates

Anyone else think this statement is rather suspicious - its a land rover after all:

Quote
the landrover  has no oil leaks whatsoever from any part of the vehicle bone dry ,

And which part of that vehicle is a 1957 series? Anything at all?

edit - just noticed, its in the same town as me... Will send him a message I think, I fancy viewing it...

I read somewhere once that 'if it's not leaking, it's empty!'. I find this statement to be about right :)

Also a 1957 the rear number plate would be on driver's side, I know this one is a bitsa, think the the series 2a was introduced in 1961 so ?????????????????

HOw many original parts are on it? I doubt very many, so it shouldnt be on that plate and shouldnt be tax exempt.

You cant ask a question on his ebay. It for some reason directs you to a FAQ page that you cant ask any questions.
