From Facebook
Police are seeking information about the theft of two landrovers in Ashleworth, Gloucester overnight between Monday 15 – Tuesday 16 September.

The incident took place in Lawn Road, Ashleworth, between 5.30 pm and 7.30 am, when unknown offenders entered a locked and secure barn forcing the clasp on the door.

Two very distinctive LR90 V8 landrovers were then stolen. They are believed to have been loaded on to a low loader vehicle, and the offenders then departed in an unknown direction.

The descriptions are:

Landrover reg C230 GYB: completely re-sprayed black inside and out, with half- leather grey seat trim. Brand new atturo wheels.  The spare wheel carrier is loose. The rear door has not been finished properly. Valued at many thousands of pounds.

Landrover reg R166 JAD: has a big hole in the dash board, different colour seats, London hospital parking sticker in a window.  It is sprayed dark ‘Rolls Royce velvet’ green and has brand new wheels. Valued at many thousands of pounds.

Anyone with any information about this incident, or knowledge of any motorists seen acting suspiciously in the area in the preceding few days, is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 70 of 16 September.

You can also give information anonymously by contacting the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org and you may receive a reward if someone is arrested and charged.

Not a fan of that particular paper per se but glad the FB group is getting the promotion it deserves...

Nobody on the admin team at LW was contacted by the Mail as far as I'm aware, so I wonder if they just googled it ????

Attempted theft Defender 90, tdi300, Year 1995.  Drivers door barrel broken to gain entry.  Theft thwarted by Safe-T pedal lock which was damaged but survived the removal attempt.  Also had two rudinmentary steering locks and gearstick lock none of which attacked.  Now trying myself to work out how to remove the Safe-T pedal which has a jammed lock following the scoundrel's bungled attempt to open it!

Excellent News - Genuinely delighted for you.

Hopefully I will get some positive news about mine although I am losing faith in getting it back in any state - 2 and a half weeks gone and nothing. Gutted.
